Food and hosting
Essential elements in supporting your time here
Hospitality Designed to Support Performance
Food at Barton Court is considered to be an integral and important part of the overall retreat experience which is why in house catering is provided as part of all estate bookings. Formats range from working breakfasts and lunches to private dinners and evening receptions.
As well as being - quite simply - good to eat, meals are designed to sustain energy, encourage conversation and support clear thinking across the day.
Our executive chef Felice Tocchini, has an approach which combines technical excellence with a deep understanding of seasonal produce. His food, rooted in his Italian heritage, is flavourful and delicious.
All catering is created here and is tailored to the rhythm of your programme — from arrival refreshments through to working lunches, dinner and breakfast.
We create menus with you in advance to suit your requirements. This will take into account any dietary issues as well as the the structure of your retreat. Service remains attentive yet unobtrusive. Food is integrated into the schedule, rather than interrupting it.
Additional Arrangements
Supplementary sessions can be incorporated into your programme if you wish.
These could be anything from guided walks to explore more of the local area; tastings of local food and drink; practical activities such as foraging or cooking or an exercise class. There are any number of possibilities that we would be happy to discuss with and arrange for you.
